Technology

The Waydoo FoilBoost is built around a compact electric power unit that mounts on the mast and drives a small propeller. The system works as an assist – it adds thrust at takeoff and when speed drops, while the foil is still carried by the rider’s technique, balance and pumping.

At the heart of the system is the Front-Drive design, which positions the motor ahead of the mast in the Front-Pull setup. This reduces water turbulence and delivers a more efficient, responsive ride. An extended antenna places the remote’s receiver at the front of the board, away from interference, for a stable and responsive signal.

Power comes from two lithium-ion batteries with a combined 432Wh capacity, secured with the Twist-N-Lock system for a safe, reliable fit. You can adjust the unit’s position on the mast with the detachable power cable and clip for smoother, more tailored foiling.

The whole system is modular – the motor, batteries and electronics assemble easily and connect to your own mast for a fast setup.
