Insulated Water Bottles and Flasks for Water, Tea and Coffee

An insulated bottle or flask is a vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle that keeps cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12. In summer, one bottle gives you ice-cold water on your SUP or at the beach; in winter, hot tea or coffee in the mountains. It's tough, leak-proof and replaces single-use plastic bottles.

Our range includes flasks from 750 ml to 1.2 litres, in 316L or 18/8 stainless steel, with a screw or sports lid.

Which Insulated Bottle Should I Choose?

When and whereCapacity
Work, school, training (half a day)750 ml
SUP, beach, day trip (half a day to a full day)750 ml to 1 litre
Full-day hike or paddle (nowhere to refill)1 to 1.2 litres
Coffee or tea for two (hiking, camping)1 litre or more

A bigger flask holds its temperature better, as there's more drink for its surface area, but it's heavier. For everyday use, choose 750 ml; for full-day trips, a 1-litre flask.

How Is an Insulated Bottle Made?

An insulated bottle has two stainless steel walls with a vacuum between them. Heat travels through air, but a vacuum has nothing to carry it, so your drink stays at its temperature. Most heat escapes through the lid, which is why a good flask has a thick, insulated lid with a seal.

MaterialProperties
18/8 steel (304)standard food-grade stainless steel + doesn't hold flavours
316L steel (marine grade)more resistant to salt + suited to the sea and sailing

Neither type of steel contains BPA or transfers flavours between drinks, so you can fill the same flask with water in the morning and tea in the evening.

Flasks for Tea and Coffee

For hot drinks, choose a flask with a screw lid that seals tightly and won't leak in your backpack. A wide mouth makes filling and cleaning easier, so coffee stains don't build up inside. A flask keeps tea or coffee hot for up to 12 hours, enough for a full-day hike or a shift at work.

Insulated Water Bottles

In summer, an insulated bottle keeps water cold for up to 24 hours, even on a hot beach or in the car. A sports lid lets you drink one-handed on the move, and a wide mouth takes ice cubes and pieces of fruit. A steel bottle won't shatter if you drop it and doesn't leave a plastic taste.

Staying Hydrated on a SUP and at the Beach

On a SUP, sun and wind dry you out faster than you think, because the water keeps you cool. Drink regularly, not only when you're thirsty. Clip your flask on with a carabiner or tuck it under the bungee cords at the front of your board so it's always within reach. On longer tours, keep it in a SUP deck bag. For the sea, 316L steel is the most resistant.

Flasks for Hiking, Camping and Travel

On a full-day mountain hike or a camping trip you need more to drink, so choose a 1-litre flask or larger. In winter, hot tea at the summit is especially welcome. A stainless steel flask can take knocks in your backpack and on rocks, and a carabiner on the lid clips it to your backpack or bag.

Insulated Bottles for Every Day

For work, school, training and the gym, choose a 750 ml flask that fits in your bag or the car's cup holder. With one reusable bottle, you save the plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in the bin every day.

How to Care for Your Insulated Bottle

After use, take the flask apart, wash it with warm water and a little washing-up liquid, clean the inside with a brush and let it dry with the lid off. Remove odours by leaving it overnight with hot water and bicarbonate of soda. Hand-wash flasks with a coloured coating, as a dishwasher damages the coating over time.
