Accurate Wind Speed and Direction Meter for Your Phone
The Vaavud Sleipnir is an accurate smartphone wind meter for kiting, winging, windsurfing and paragliding. Its optical sensor takes 44,100 readings per second, making it more accurate than the Mjolnir, and it also measures wind direction.
The app shows a real-time wind graph plus current, average and maximum speed in the units you choose (m/s, km/h, knots, mph, Bft). It stores your measurements, and a map shows readings from other users. The meter plugs into your smartphone's 3.5 mm headphone jack. If your phone has no headphone jack, you need a headphone adapter.
