SUP Roof Rack Tie-Down Strap for Safe Equipment Transport
The SUP roof rack tie-down strap is designed to securely fasten your SUP board, kayak, or other sports equipment to your car’s roof rack, so you can drive with confidence.
The strap is very strong, and the buckle is protected with a neoprene cover. This prevents the buckle from rubbing against your equipment during transport, reducing the risk of scratches or other damage.
How to Secure a SUP on a Car Roof Rack
Installing the SUP tie-down strap is quick and simple:
- Hold the buckle in your hand and throw the strap over to the other side of the car. Repeat with the second strap.
- Walk to the opposite side of the car, wrap the strap around the roof rack bar, and throw it back over the car.
- Evenly position the strap across the board using both hands.
- Bring the buckle around the roof rack bar and thread the strap through the buckle.
- Pull the strap firmly downward so the buckle locks securely in place.Tie off the loose end so it does not flap or hit the roof while driving.
Important tip: before threading the strap through the buckle, twist the strap twice so it is not flat but slightly twisted. This helps prevent whistling noise caused by airflow while driving.
