When a SUP is deflated normally, the rapid pressure release creates a sharp and often startling sound. While expected by paddlers, it can disturb children, animals, and other beach users. This silent deflation adapter helps reduce unnecessary noise and makes the deflation process more discreet and beach-friendly.
Use the Silent Deflator for a More Relaxed Experience
The Red Paddle Co Silent deflator is designed to prevent awkward or disruptive moments by offering a smoother and quieter way to deflate your SUP board.
It reduces the sound level of air released from a board inflated to 18 PSI from over 130 dB at the valve’s initial pressure to less than 80 dB. This is comparable to the difference between the noise of a jet engine and the ambient sound level of a restaurant.
The adapter dampens the initial high-pressure air release, allowing the SUP to deflate in a controlled and much quieter way.
Compatible with Most Inflatable SUP Boards
Designed in Germany, the adapter is compatible with all SUP boards equipped with an HR valve, which includes the majority of inflatable SUPs on the market. It attaches in the same way as a standard pump hose.
How to Use the Silent Deflation Adapter
Insert the adapter into the SUP valve.
Press the button on the top of the adapter.
After approximately 60 seconds, remove the adapter and allow the board to finish deflating normally.
The product is easy to maintain, and all components can be replaced if needed. It effectively suppresses the initial loud burst of air during deflation.
