Inflatable Belt PFD for Emergencies on Open Water
The Red Original Airbelt is an inflatable belt PFD for SUP paddlers and foilers on open water, where wind or current can catch you out. It sits folded in a pouch around your waist and stays out of your way.
In an emergency, pull the bladder out of the pouch, place it over your head and pull the cord. A 16 g CO2 cylinder instantly inflates it into a certified 50N buoyancy aid (EN ISO 12402-5/-6).
On a downwinder you are far from shore, and a bulky vest gets in the way of pumping and paddling. The Airbelt is the safety gear you do not feel until you need it.

Is the Red Original Airbelt Automatic?
No. The Airbelt is manually activated: it inflates when you pull the cord, not automatically on contact with water. That is why it is meant for people who can swim and are conscious enough to act. For non-swimmers, children and moving water, choose a foam buoyancy aid from our life jackets and buoyancy aids.
