Wetsuit made with the best materials
The Prolimit Predator Steamer Backzip 5/3 Zodiac is designed for everyone who refuses to let cold conditions stop them. The Predator line represents Prolimit’s premium wetsuit range, where only their best and most advanced materials are used.
The Predator Steamer Backzip 5/3 is constructed from Airflex 500+ neoprene, combined with the latest Down Airflex material in the shoulder area. This combination makes the wetsuit extremely flexible, comfortable and supportive of natural movement.
This full-length wetsuit delivers maximum warmth thanks to the Zodiac lining. Zodiac is a soft, fleece-like inner lining placed on the back, chest and down to the knees, exactly where thermal protection is most important.
Details of the Prolimit Predator Steamer Backzip 5/3:
- The 5/3 thickness means 5 mm neoprene on the core for warmth and 3 mm neoprene on the arms and legs for improved flexibility.
- Back zip entry allows easy and fast changing. A velcro closure at the neck helps prevent cold water from entering the suit.
- In case of a harder fall where some water does enter through the neck, small drainage holes on the back allow excess water to flow out freely.
Wetsuit technology:
- Zodiac lining is a soft, fleece-like thermal lining used in Prolimit’s warmest wetsuits. It pulls water away from the skin and creates air pockets that are easier for the body to warm than water.
- Velvet AirFlex Quick Dry inner lining is softer than ever, highly stretchable and feels smooth and comfortable against the skin while drying quickly.
- Down AirFlex neoprene is Prolimit’s latest high-end material, a variation of their Airflex neoprene. It is used in premium wetsuits such as the Predator and Flare series.
Down AirFlex neoprene is water-repellent, reducing water absorption while allowing excess water to drain away from the body. Its exceptional stretch is especially beneficial in the arms, where freedom of movement is crucial.
- GBS seams (glued and blind stitched) are glued first and then stitched only partially through the neoprene to prevent water from entering through the needle holes. This construction is highly durable and helps the wetsuit maintain its thickness and thermal insulation over time.
