The men’s Prolimit Nordic SUP DrySuit is designed for riders who don’t let freezing conditions stop them from paddling.
A drysuit allows you to SUP safely even in the middle of winter. Of course, it’s always essential to check water levels, weather forecasts and wind conditions beforehand, as cold winds and winter weather demand extra caution.
A drysuit is the ultimate solution for year-round SUP and opens the door to truly unique experiences. Paddling while snowflakes fall around you or breaking thin ice with your paddle offers a completely different kind of SUP than the busy, noisy summer season.
Advantages of a drysuit
A drysuit keeps you completely dry in case of a fall into the water, which makes paddling possible even in icy conditions.
On its own, a drysuit does not provide insulation. It is lightweight and thin, functioning more like a windproof shell.
This allows you to easily adapt to daily conditions and activity intensity. You simply adjust your warmth by choosing what to wear underneath.
Under the drysuit you can wear regular sports clothing. In autumn, a short-sleeve shirt and leggings may be enough, while in winter you can add a fleece, hoodie or warmer tracksuit for extra insulation.
Construction of the Prolimit Nordic drysuit
The Prolimit Nordic drysuit is made from a lightweight 4-layer fabric that is fully waterproof while remaining breathable, allowing excess moisture from sweat to escape.
The sleeves and legs are sealed with latex cuffs that fit tightly around the wrists and ankles, preventing water from entering the suit.
The collar is made from adjustable neoprene, making it significantly more comfortable than traditional latex neck seals used on diving drysuits.
All seams are internally taped to ensure complete waterproof protection.
A front-entry zipper allows easy dressing. The high-quality YKK dry zipper with Aquaseal prevents any water from entering the suit.
An elastic panel in the lower back area improves flexibility and freedom of movement while paddling.
