Long John Wetsuit – Reduced Restriction in the Shoulder Area
The O’Neill Reactor 2 Long John sleeveless wetsuit with 2 mm thickness is recommended for athletes who want maximum freedom of movement in the shoulder area. The sleeveless Long John design places minimal restriction on the shoulders, making it ideal for paddling, SUP, kayaking, and other water sports that require repetitive arm movement.
Compared to a full one-piece wetsuit, the Long John is much easier to put on while still protecting a large portion of the body and providing reliable thermal comfort.
Easy to Put On and Take Off
The wetsuit features a front zip, allowing for fast and effortless entry. It is easy to close on your own, and during breaks you can quickly unzip it and pull it down to the waist. This makes it convenient to warm up in a dry shirt or enjoy some time in the sun without fully removing the wetsuit.
How to Combine a Long John Wetsuit
On warmer days, the sleeveless Long John provides enough warmth on its own. For sun protection, it can be combined with a lycra top worn underneath.
In cooler conditions, the Long John can be paired with a neoprene top or jacket. This creates a double neoprene layer around the core, offering additional insulation where it matters most.
