O’Neill Mutant 6/5/4 mm split toe neoprene boots are O’Neill’s answer to the most demanding winter conditions. The combination of 6 mm, 5 mm, and 4 mm neoprene thickness provides outstanding thermal protection while maintaining exceptional flexibility and freedom of movement.

Advanced material technology, developed through more than 60 years of O’Neill experience, makes these boots surprisingly easy to put on despite their thickness. The highly stretchable neoprene ensures a comfortable and secure fit even in cold conditions.

The boots feature a cuff design without Velcro, allowing them to fit smoothly under the legs of a full wetsuit. Their anatomical shape also fits perfectly under kiteboard or windsurf bindings.

The split toe construction improves balance and prevents the foot from sliding inside the boot, delivering better board control and feel. A thinner, flexible sole provides a more natural connection to the board while still offering protection against sharp or rough surfaces.

Technology That Performs in Cold Conditions

The boots use GBS glued and blindstitched seams, one of the most effective seam constructions in modern neoprene products. Panels are glued together and then stitched without fully penetrating the material, reducing water entry while maintaining durability and long-term insulation.

FluidFlex neoprene is O’Neill’s highly stretchable and comfortable material with 100% stretch capability, allowing it to extend up to twice its original length for a snug and adaptive fit.

FluidFlex Firewall is one of O’Neill’s thermal lining technologies. It retains warmth by pulling water away from the skin and helping warm air stay trapped inside the boot, improving insulation without compromising flexibility.
