Long Sleeve Girls Wetsuit for Summer on the Water

The O'Neill Bahia 2/1mm is a girls wetsuit for ages 8 to 12 with long sleeves, short legs and a back zip. It keeps the core warm and protects the arms from sun and wind.

2/1mm means 2 mm on the torso, where warmth matters, and 1 mm on the limbs, where flexibility matters.

It is made for days when a full wetsuit is too warm and a shorty is not enough: surfing, SUP, wing foiling or a whole day of play on a windy beach.

Who Is the O'Neill Bahia Girls Wetsuit For?

This girls long sleeve spring wetsuit is made for girls who spend the whole day on the water and need protection from sun and wind.

We recommend it for:

  • young surfers, SUP paddlers and wing foilers at summer camps
  • girls who get cold on a windy beach after swimming
  • parents who want to protect their child's arms from the sun
  • girls who layer it with neoprene leggings on cooler days

O'Neill Bahia Girls Wetsuit Benefits

Warm core, free arms
2 mm on the torso keeps warmth in, while 1 mm on arms and legs does not restrict paddling or swimming.

Arms protected from the sun
Long sleeves cover the arms that are exposed all day during water sports.

Quick on and off
The back zip has a pull cord so girls can close it alone, and a Velcro tab covers the zip.

Freedom of movement
Stretchy UltraFlex neoprene moves with the body when paddling, jumping into waves or playing on the beach.

Why a Long Sleeve Spring Wetsuit in Summer?

Long sleeves protect the arms from sun and wind, while short legs stop the wetsuit from getting too warm on hot days. O'Neill recommends 2mm kids wetsuits for water between 18 and 20 °C. For colder water, browse our kids wetsuits.

Material and Technology

The O'Neill Bahia is made from UltraFlex, O'Neill's stretchy neoprene that allows natural movement.

The long sleeve spring cut sits between a shorty and a full wetsuit: it protects against cooling and sun while leaving the legs free.

Material and Care

Rinse the wetsuit in fresh water after every use and dry it in the shade so it stays soft and stretchy.

The wetsuit should fit snugly without squeezing. Check the size chart, opened with the button on the product page.

Why Choose O'Neill?

In 1952 Jack O'Neill opened a surf shop in San Francisco and, according to the brand, made the first wetsuit that same year. O'Neill has been developing wetsuits for more than 70 years.

Bahia is O'Neill's line that combines function with a distinctive design, so girls are happy to wear it on the beach too.
