5/4 Wetsuit for Winter on the Water
The O'Neill Epic 5/4 is a men's winter wetsuit for water of about 8 to 11 °C. It comes from O'Neill's mid-range Epic line, which offers many features of pricier wetsuits: 100% UltraFlex, glued seams and a warm lining.
The FluidFlex Firewall blocks wind and the thermal lining wicks water away from the skin. O'Neill's precise cut hugs the body, so cold water does not circulate inside.
The back zip opens wide, which makes getting into a thick wetsuit much easier.
Who Is the O'Neill Epic 5/4 For?
The Epic 5/4 is for anyone who refuses to give up the water, even in winter.
We recommend it for:
- surfers for winter surf
- kitesurfers and wing foilers in winter
- SUP paddlers on winter tours, where falling into cold water needs protection
- anyone who wants a warm winter wetsuit at a fair price

Comparison: Reactor 2 vs Epic vs Hyperfreak
The lines differ in material and build quality. Reactor 2 is a quality, affordable wetsuit with flatlock seams. Epic steps up with 100% UltraFlex and glued, blind-stitched seams.
Hyperfreak is O'Neill's premium line: the stretchiest, most comfortable TechnoButter neoprene that keeps its shape, for anyone who spends a lot of time on the water.
Material and Care
Rinse in fresh water after use and dry inside out in the shade. Thick neoprene dries slowly, so do not store it damp.
Why Choose O'Neill?
O'Neill has more than 70 years of wetsuit design behind it, dating back to 1952 according to the brand. Known for precise cuts that fit the body closely, O'Neill brings many features of its top wetsuits to the mid-range Epic.
