Contact Adhesive for Neoprene Repairs at Home and on the Go
Adeprene neoprene glue is a contact adhesive by the Italian manufacturer Adeco for repairing wetsuits, neoprene boots, gloves and hoods. Use it to fix a split seam, a cut or a peeling edge yourself.
It is easy to use: apply the glue, let it dry for 15–30 minutes, then press the parts firmly together. It reaches full strength after 24 hours, so your gear is ready for the water the next day.
A small cut on the knee or a split seam under the arm grows every time you put the wetsuit on. Repair it early and the damage stops spreading. For wetsuit care, see our wetsuit accessories.
Who Is Neoprene Glue For?
Neoprene glue is for anyone who uses neoprene gear often and wants to repair it themselves, without a repair shop.
We recommend it for:
- SUP paddlers and wing foilers whose wetsuits take a beating climbing onto the board and falling
- surfers and kitesurfers repairing seams and cuts on wetsuits
- open-water swimmers and divers for wetsuits, hoods and socks
- neoprene boots and gloves, including rubber parts that come loose
- travel and surf trips where there is no repair shop nearby
Adeprene Neoprene Glue Benefits
Bonds neoprene, rubber and fabric
Adeprene is made for rubber, leather, cork and fabric, so it holds on fabric-lined neoprene and on the rubber parts of your gear.
No mixing
A one-component contact adhesive used straight from the tube, with no activator and no ratios to measure.
Ready by the next day
After 15–30 minutes of drying you press the parts together, and after 24 hours the bond has full strength. Repair it in the evening, use it the next day.
Small tube for your bag
The 65 ml aluminium tube with a plastic cap takes up little space in a wetsuit bag or travel kit.

How to Glue Neoprene?
To glue neoprene, sand both surfaces, apply a thin layer of glue, wait 15–30 minutes and press the parts firmly together. The bond reaches full strength after 24 hours.
- Rinse the neoprene with fresh water and let it dry completely.
- Carefully sand the surfaces to be bonded with fine sandpaper and remove the dust.
- Apply a thin, even layer of glue to both surfaces.
- Let the glue dry for 15–30 minutes until it is dry to the touch. It needs longer in cold, humid weather.
- Align the parts precisely and press them firmly together. Once the glued surfaces touch, they can no longer be moved.
- Wait 24 hours before use.
Seam tip: glue a torn seam edge to edge, not overlapping, so it stays stretchy.
Work outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, wearing protective gloves and eye protection.
Storage and Safety
Keep neoprene glue tightly closed at room temperature, as it does not tolerate cold. It is flammable, so keep it away from heat and open flames and out of reach of children. It contains colophony, which may cause an allergic reaction.
