The HandiRack inflatable SUP roof rack is an innovative solution for transporting sports equipment on vehicles without fixed roof bars. It allows you to carry SUP boards, kayaks, canoes, windsurf boards, and surfboards on the roof of almost any car and can be installed quickly and easily.
The inflatable SUP roof rack is a cost-effective transport solution that you only use when needed. When not in use, it does not affect the appearance of your car or create unnecessary air resistance. Once deflated, it can be easily stored in the trunk and takes up very little space.
The roof rack is inflated and secured through the car doors using strong straps. Because it is inflatable and has no sharp metal parts, it is safe to use with inflatable SUP boards. If your car already has roof bars, additional protection such as foam pads can be used if desired.
How to Install the Inflatable SUP Roof Rack
Installation of the inflatable SUP roof rack is fast, simple, and requires no tools.
Inflate the roof rack bars using the included hand pump.
Place the bars across the front and rear door frames and tighten them securely.
Place the SUP board or other sports equipment on the inflated bars.
Throw the securing strap over the board, thread it through the loop, and bring it back to the starting side.
Secure the strap into the rack and tighten firmly.
Driving Speed with a SUP on the Roof
With an inflatable roof rack and a SUP board on the roof, highway driving is possible. However, a reduced speed is recommended, with a maximum of approximately 110 km/h. With fixed roof racks, higher speeds such as 120–130 km/h may be suitable.
