Carbon Stabilizer for Top-Level Surf Foiling

The AXIS Skinny Surf is a carbon rear wing for riders who demand precise turn control, speed, and an authentic surf feel – without compromise. This stabilizer combines the exceptional glide of the Skinny series with the roll stability of the Progressive line, resulting in a wing designed for surf foiling: fast, responsive, and confidence-inspiring.

The key advantage of Surf Skinny wings is yaw control – the ability to make precise directional adjustments while riding. Despite their compact size, these wings deliver exceptional responsiveness and handling, already proven at the competition level.

Surf Skinny wings are built for speed, yet refined enough to feel natural from the very first ride. They allow you to surf with precision, power, and expression – while maintaining total command of your foil.

Imagine: tight turns in critical wave sections, clean exits from carves, and constant connection to the wave. The AXIS Skinny Surf is a stabilizer for those who want to foil faster, more responsively, and more expressively.

Who Is the AXIS Skinny Surf Rear Wing For?

AXIS Skinny Surf stabilizers are designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want more speed and control in waves – regardless of discipline.

We recommend them for:

  • prone foil riders for tight turns and quick responsiveness
  • SUP foil riders for more control when riding waves
  • wing foil riders for precise transitions and authentic surf feel
  • foil assist riders for longer and more confident sessions
  • anyone upgrading from Progressive or Speed stabilizers
  • riders who want one rear wing for all surf conditions

Comparison: Skinny Surf vs Skinny vs Progressive

Surf Skinny (280–320 mm span) is recommended for maximum turn control and precise yaw response – ideal for waves and surf-style riding. Skinny (358–365 mm span) is designed for maximum glide and speed in downwind and open water conditions, with a larger span for better pumping. Progressive (250–475 mm span) offers more grip in turns and better stability – recommended for progression and learning or for less experienced riders.

AXIS Skinny Surf Stabilizer Benefits

Natural Feel from the First Ride
Responsiveness is exceptional, yet refined enough that transitioning to Surf Skinny isn't demanding.

Universal Use Across Surf Disciplines

Technology

The AXIS Skinny Surf is built on premium carbon construction that ensures low weight, high stiffness, and maximum responsiveness. The shape combines the best of two AXIS lines: the glide of the Skinny series and the roll stability of the Progressive series.

The key difference compared to classic Skinny stabilizers is the reduced span (280–320 mm instead of 358–365 mm), which enables tighter turns and better control in critical wave sections. At the same time, the reduced chord maintains low drag and high speeds.

Subtle downturn at the wingtips enables smooth turn entry, grip through the entire arc, and predictable exit – similar to the Progressive series, but with significantly less drag.

Surf Skinny wings are designed as the ideal pairing for the AXIS Surge front wing and ultra short Advance+ fuselage, together forming the most advanced AXIS surf setup for 2026.

  • 320/48: For heavier riders (85+ kg), less experienced riders, or pairing with smaller front wings. More stability and easier control.
