Technology

The AXIS Black Advance+ Fuselage is based on the principle of offsetting the mast position relative to the front wing. On the standard Black fuselage, the mast is positioned at a specific distance from the front wing – this ensures stability and predictability. The Advance+ geometry moves this position 60 mm forward, meaning the mast is closer to the centre of lift.

The result of this shift is a shorter distance between the mast and front wing, and a longer distance to the stabiliser. In practice, this means easier rotation around the mast, faster response to rider inputs, and a looser feel during turns. The trade-off is slightly reduced pitch stability and tracking – which is why this geometry is suited for riders who have developed their technique and want a specific ride character.

The fuselage is manufactured from CNC-machined aluminium with hard anodising for maximum stiffness and wear resistance. The integrated zinc anode in the front wing attachment area serves as sacrificial protection against galvanic corrosion – an important detail for durability when used in saltwater.
