The Appletree Appleslice V4 wing foil board is built with 100% carbon fiber construction — a process Appletree has developed over more than a decade.
The foundation is their proprietary 50K closed cell foam — a foam used exclusively by Appletree. It withstands 50,000 kg per square meter while remaining light, flexible, and waterproof. The closed cell structure means the board does not absorb water, even if damaged.
Vacuum infusion ensures optimal ratio between carbon fibers and epoxy resin, with 100% core adhesion — eliminating delamination. Additional reinforcements under the feet prevent heel denting.
Foil boxes are CNC-cut together with the board for maximum precision, embedded in a panel of high-density PET honeycomb that is additionally wrapped in carbon fiber. Appletree exclusively uses FUTURES oneshot boxes — the strongest available.
The result is a wing foil board that combines lightness, stiffness, and durability at a level rarely found in production boards.

About Appletree
Appletree is a Dutch brand founded in 2006 by brothers Wieger and Jorrit Buurma. They started in a shed on their family's apple orchard — hence the name.
After years of experimentation, they developed a proprietary manufacturing process combining CNC shaping, vacuum infusion, and their own 50K closed cell foam. The result: boards that are significantly more durable than typical production boards, while remaining exceptionally light and responsive.
Today, Appletree manufactures in their own factory in Portugal, with a strong focus on sustainability — using local materials, recycling foam waste, and powering much of the factory with solar energy. Their boards carry the Eco Board certification from Sustainable Surf.
