The Duotone wing leash is essential equipment for anyone getting into wing foiling – from complete beginners to experienced riders.
The safety leash ensures that you do not lose your wing in the event of a fall. Without a leash, the wing could quickly drift away, leaving you without your equipment and forcing you to swim back to shore, which can require far more energy than simply winging back.
The wing itself can also be a valuable safety aid. Thanks to its buoyancy, it can help you while swimming if you are unable to ride back to shore. When you let go of the wing, it remains attached to the leash and no longer pulls you.
The Duotone wing leash features a coiled design, similar to a spring, so it stays compact and out of the way while riding and only extends when needed.
The shorter 4 ft (M) version is recommended for wings up to 5 m, while the longer 5 ft (L) version is suitable for wings 5 m and larger.
In addition to the attachment point for the wing, the leash includes a swivel that prevents twisting and tangling during use.
The leash attaches to the wrist with a soft cuff that fastens with Velcro. The cuff is comfortable to wear and does not cause chafing, even during longer sessions.
